The new Instructional Program that makes the NIHSS Easier to Learn and Use The "Quick & Easy" NIH Stroke Scale and Tutorial Program is a systematic assessment tool and accompanying instructional program designed to aid in the standardized evaluation of acute stroke patients in the clinical setting. This practical tool evolved from the original NIH Stroke Scale, in response to requests from emergency department physicians and nurses as well as other health care providers who are involved in treatment oriented stroke care. The "Quick and Easy" was developed in Cincinnati by experienced stroke clinicians and research professionals who helped to create the original NIHSS. The "Quick and Easy" is a user-friendly bedside assessment tool that easily guides and assists caregivers in the evaluation of acute stroke patients. The video-based tutorial provides instruction to practitioners on the use of this assessment tool in clinical practice. Sample Images from the video:
